The Starbucks Siren (Weekend Reflections # 313)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania        A starbucks logo reflected in a window

The other night I looked through a window at a Starbucks in Philadelphia and noticed the logo reflected in another window at the other side of the store. The siren seems to be hovering above the walking man but in reality he was across the street.

The Theme Building (Weekend Reflections # 312)

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), California

This building used to fascinate me when I was a little boy. I remember being so happy when my mother and I had dinner in the restaurant that used to be in it. We had a great time eating fondue and watching jets take off and land. I didn't go inside of the building this time but I did go in one of the jets.

Summer Days Drifting Away (Weekend Reflections # 311)

Corona Del Mar, California

I almost forgot how nice it feels to walk barefoot along the beach. It's only been a little more than a week but I miss it already. Even after several years, sometimes it still feels strange not living near a beach.

Catching a California Sunset (Weekend Reflections # 310)

Newport Beach, California

In a shop window next to the Newport Beach pier, I noticed this little Mexican man holding a big margarita glass. I stood at angle and took a shot, hoping it would look like he caught the reflection of the sun in his glass. The palm tree reflections are bonuses. :-)

I had a nice stay in my hometown, or more technically, my "home county"  (I have lived in a few different cities in Orange County). At first the weather was a bit warmer and more humid than I expected, but towards the end, the comfortable ocean breezes kicked in and all was good.

Have a nice and hopefully long weekend!!!
